50 French Foods!

I thought some of you might like to take a look at this wonderful list of delicious French dishes. We have many great French restaurants here in NYC as well as farmer's markets with fresh, local produce. Why not try ordering or making one of these recipes this weekend?

Duolingo

I recommend using Duolingo over the summer. It is a wonderful site where you can learn new vocabulary and practice your grammar. You can even challenge your classmates!

For the incoming 7th grade, here is the level you must complete before September!

A quick google search of the title will give you an online slideshow in French. We read the book in class today and created a picture of a giant eye and the words "je vois".

French Café - Regional Dish Presentation

Yesterday our 8th grade completed their final French presentation of the year. They were each assigned a region of France and were asked to explore it's geography, climate, and local exports. Once they found this information, each group was required to research a traditional recipe, prepare it at home, and serve it to their class explaining why they choose their particular dish. We were joined by Mrs. Figaro, Mrs. Santangelo, and Mrs. Calcagno who were treated to crêpes, cassoulet, pomme de terres Lyonnaise, Camebert, salad Niçoise, and une salade de pois chiches.
