We are working on some of the set pieces for our Peter Pan French puppet show. We have decided to use shadow puppets for some of the more complicated scenes.
Watch the video above, and using only the present tense, tell the story of The Hapless Hamster. Fantastic puppets created by 7th graders! We read a script of Peter Pan in French, highlighting verbs and nouns, looking up vocabulary, and practicing pronunciation. We hope to perform the play for the lower school sometime in the spring.
Etre, Avoir, and Aller - Three of the most important verbs when learning French. Here are some games to help you remember the conjugations.

- Adjective Placement
- Adjective Agreement
- Comparative/Superlative
- Travel Vocabulary
- en, au, aux (saying to/from a country)
- Futur Proche (Je vais au Canada, etc.)
We are learning all about adjectives in French. Remember that adjectives must AGREE with what they are describing, and they they must be PLACED correctly.
Agreement:
Une jupe bleue - Here we used the feminine form of the adjective "blue" because the noun dupe is feminine.
Placement:
Une jupe bleue - In English we usually place the adjective in front of the noun (The BLUE skirt), but in French we usually place the adjectives AFTER what they describe. The exception to this rule is BAGS - Beauty, Age, Good/Bad, and Size - These come BEFORE the nouns they describe.
