Baby Bilingual
http://pinterest.com/babybilingual/apps-for-kids-french/
This morning I found a great board on Pinterest of apps for French learning. Many of our students have iPads, and I thought I would search out a list of apps they could use at home or when they have finished an assignment in class. Our students are depending more and more on their iPads for note taking and research and I am hoping to use the technology to my advantage. Please feel free to leave a comment and add any great apps you use at home.

Silhouette
Using the light projected from the Smart Board and tracing our shadows, the 7th grade created beautiful silhouettes. They were framed using adjectives that best describe the student who made them.

French School Lunch
I thought you might find it fun to read through some of the menus for French school lunch. I would like to eat at one of these schools everyday!

How Does Your Garden Grow?
I couldn't believe how FORMIDABLE!!! our garden looked when I checked on it aujourd'hui. Les legumes didn't do so well, but les herbes are HUGE. We are going to be doing some very fun projects with them this fall including cooking and preserving. Maybe even some lavender sachets?

Bienvenue! Welcome!
I am looking forward to seeing you all this week. I hope you had a wonderful summer and did lots of adventurous things you will tell me all about. We will start the year with a nice review, so don't worry that you've forgotten everything (but I hope you haven't!) Get some sleep and we'll see you soon. :)

Summer Work
Bonjour! I hope you are having a wonderful time during les vacances. Here is a list of websites you can use to practice with. Spending an hour a week listening to the songs, playing games, or reading French stories will be very helpful to you in the fall. Try to use a different site each time you log on. Also, you can keep a notebook of new words you have learned and share them with the class in the fall. Click on the words below to get to the sites.Up To Ten - Songs in French. Click on the teeny tiny P near the controls and you can read the lyrics as you listen.
BBC Kids French - A GREAT website with songs you can read along with. A good way to practice the basics. Make sure you have the latest version of Flash.
