Watch a French chef make a simple dish based on a classic ratatouille. The vocab is easy to follow. Hey, why not get out your pots and pans and give this dish a try?

The 8th grade has been studying "le fromage" of France. We've looked at the "terroire" of different regions and will be sharing some of the cheese tomorrow in class. I am looking forward to listening to the student presentations and sampling some wonderful cheese!
These are some of the websites we've been using for our research. Some interesting facts and even a game or two.

8th Grade VoiceThread
So this is the best software program I have found in a long time! It is going to make assessing pronunciation so much easier. It's also going to make it possible for students to practice their oral communication on their own time. Their are so many ways I can use this application to help my students become better French speakers! As you can tell, I'm pretty excited. Keep checking back to listen to some of our voicethreads.

I have begun another blog to keep track of any new and exciting technology I think will be useful in my classroom. Some of it I've used, and some of it I'm still playing with. These are all free software programs that can be adapted to many activities. I am compiling the list for my own reference, but oftentimes the students would like to use the software at home.
