Bienvenue!

Welcome new an old users of our Visitation French blog. I try to update it as much as possible, including pictures of student work, and adding online resources to help you study at home. On the right hand side of the blog you will see some topics organized into different pages. These are here to give to an easy link to vocabulary practice games. Use them as much as possible to help reinforce your new words.

French app for iPad

While reading a French magazine this morning, I came across some recommendations for educational French apps on the iPad/iphone. I downloaded the free lite version and like it so much I bought the full version minutes later. It's a bit pricey at 4.99, but it has beautiful graphics and clear and simple text. I also love that the narrator gives directions orally so it is really great for working on listening skills. Just type in coccinelle at the app store and it should pop right up.

J'aime bien cette chanson. Elle vient de Québec! Nous l'avons écoutée en classe aujourd'hui.

Baby Bilingual

http://pinterest.com/babybilingual/apps-for-kids-french/

This morning I found a great board on Pinterest of apps for French learning. Many of our students have iPads, and I thought I would search out a list of apps they could use at home or when they have finished an assignment in class. Our students are depending more and more on their iPads for note taking and research and I am hoping to use the technology to my advantage. Please feel free to leave a comment and add any great apps you use at home.
